Anuzol-Farmaprim
Rectal suppositories, 100 mg/50 mg/30 mg
COMPOSITION
Each suppository contains: xeroform (bismuth tribromophenate) 100 mg, zinc sulfate heptahydrate 50 mg, dry belladonna leaf extract 30 mg.
Excipients: anhydrous lanolin, ethanol 96 %, purified water, semi-synthetic solid glycerides.
WHAT IT IS USED FOR
A combination medicine for the local treatment of haemorrhoids and anal fissures. It relieves pain, inflammation, itching and discomfort in the anal area.
HOW IT WORKS
The components act together: they provide analgesic and antispasmodic action, reduce inflammation, dry and protect the mucosa, and have an antiseptic effect. The effect develops within about 15–90 minutes.
HOW TO USE
Administered deep into the rectum after hygiene of the area or after a bowel movement. Recommended dose: 1–3 suppositories per day (maximum 7 per day). Treatment course: 10–14 days. For adults aged 18 years and over only.
WHEN IT SHOULD NOT BE USED
hypersensitivity to the active substances or to any of the excipients;
pregnancy and breast-feeding;
closed-angle glaucoma;
benign prostatic hyperplasia;
decompensated heart failure, tachyarrhythmia, myasthenia;
obstructive gastrointestinal disorders, intestinal atony, acute ulcerative colitis;
children and adolescents under 18 years of age.
Important to know
Use with caution in hyperthyroidism, chronic heart failure, kidney disorders, reflux oesophagitis and fever.
During treatment, avoid alcohol and avoid driving or operating machinery.

Possible side effects
Local: a burning sensation in the anal area.
Possible (frequency not known): allergic reactions, headache, drowsiness or sleep disturbance, dry mouth, constipation or diarrhoea, palpitations, vision disturbances.
If side effects occur, stop using the product and consult a doctor or pharmacist.
STORAGE
Store below 25 °C in the original packaging. Keep out of the reach of children. Shelf life: 36 months.
