Cutaneous herpes

Cutaneous herpes is a viral infection caused by the herpes simplex virus (HSV). It manifests as painful blisters on the skin or mucous membranes. Early treatment with locally applied antiviral agents reduces the duration of the episode and relieves symptoms.
