Ovules, 500 mg/100 mg
COMPOSITION
Each ovule contains the active substances metronidazole 500 mg and miconazole nitrate 100 mg.

WHAT IT IS USED FOR
A combination medicine for the local treatment of vaginal infections: fungal vulvovaginitis (Candida albicans), bacterial vaginosis (including Gardnerella vaginalis), trichomonal vaginitis (Trichomonas vaginalis) and mixed vaginal infections.
HOW IT WORKS
The two substances complement each other: metronidazole kills protozoa and anaerobic bacteria, while miconazole nitrate has an antifungal action and is locally effective against Candida fungi and some bacteria.
HOW TO USE
Do not use the medicine without consulting a doctor. Insert deep into the vagina while lying down.
Unless your doctor advises otherwise: 1 ovule in the morning and evening for 7 days. In recurrent vaginitis or vaginitis resistant to other treatments: 1 ovule in the morning and evening for 14 days. In trichomonal vaginitis, the partner should be treated at the same time. Not for use in children and adolescents under 18 years.

Use with caution in patients with blood-forming disorders or nervous system diseases. Not recommended during menstruation or in virgins. Do not use the ovules together with latex or rubber condoms or diaphragms (it may reduce their effectiveness), or with tampons, douches or spermicides.
